I want to respond to the request of someone. How does it work? |
OK. Let's say someone is looking for someone who would give guitar lessons and you happen to know how to play and teach playing guitar:
1- First check the price of that offer. Do you think it is reasonable? Remember that in price is set according to people's perceptions of the value of something.
2- Contact the Requester (the person who wants to take guitar lessons) by clicking on the "Contact" button in the listing. Here you can write information about your skills and or express your interest in giving the guitar lessons.
3- Wait for the Requester's reply. Please note that agreeing on the details (where the lessons would take place etc) could require the exchange of several messages. If you agree with the Requester, then ask her/him to transfer you the required amount of timparas.
4- If the Requester indeed transfers you timparas, then you will receive a message from the admin user responsible for such transfers: 'timpara -Transfer'.
5- Inform the Requester that you have received the transfer and agree on how you will receive/collect the thing offered. You do this by sending a message to the Requester.
6- After the completion of the lessons, now it is time to provide an evaluation for the transaction. For this, send a message to admin user 'timpara -Feedback' with the following information:
a- Number of stars (1-Very bad 2-Bad 3-Good enough 4-Very Good 5-Excellent)
b- A maximum 300 character long text. Example: "Was very friendly. Everything went very smootly. Recommended".
I want to get the offer of someone. How does it work? |
OK. Let's say someone is offering to give a book away and you want to get that book:
1- First check the price of that offer. Do have enough timparas in your "account" for that offer? If not, first you offer things in timpara and increase timparas in your account...
2- Contact the Offerer (the person who created the Offer listing) by clicking on the "Contact" button in the listing. Here you can write your question or express your interest in the offer.
3- Wait for the Offerer's reply. If the Offerer sends you a positive reply, then you need to transfer the Offerer the required amount of timparas from your account.
4- Send the agreed amount of timparas to the Offerer user via the 'Send timparas' link on the main horizontal menu. When you click the button, you will see a form where you will enter the name of the recipient user (Offerer) and the amount that you want to send. Afterwards click the button to send the amount.
5- Inform the Offerer that you have made the transfer (incase s/he has not yet seen it) and agree on how you will receive/collect the thing offered. You do this by sending a message to the Offerer.
6- After you receive the thing offered, now it is time to provide an evaluation for the transaction. For this, send a message to admin user 'timpara -Feedback' with the following information:
a- Username of the Offerer
b- Number of stars (1-Very bad 2-Bad 3-Good enough 4-Very Good 5-Excellent)
b- A maximum 300 character long text. Example: "Was very friendly. Everything went very smootly. Recomended".
How can I create an 'Offer' or 'Request' in timpara? |
The answer is: Easily!
First of all: 'Offer' is for offering something. Say, you want to give away a book, you want to give guitar lessons, etc.
'Request' is when you are looking for something: Say, you are looking for someone who could help you with your web site. Then you are requesting!
Just click on 'Market' on the main menu. Then click on the 'Create New Ad' button. And then fill in the fields!
Please be as descriptive as possible in the free text fields. And, do not forget to add images to your listing. Offers or Requests with images will always attract more attention!
What can I offer or request on timpara? |
Basically anything can be offered or requested on timpara. As long as it is legal!
Currently we have these categories, but we are open to suggestions for any new ones!
What is timpara? - PLEASE READ THIS FIRST |
timpara is a sharing economy marketplace. It is free to join and use as a member. We have our own "currency" here: timpara. Members earn timparas when they give services or goods to other member. And then can use these timparas to receive services and goods from other members.
Example: You have a book that you already read and want to give away. Then you create a listing for it in out Market. You set a "price" for it (in timparas of course!), say "10 timpara". When someone is interested and you give it to that person, then you gain "10 timpara". With that 10 timpara, you can get something else which is on offer at timpara by another user!
